With millions of grant money from NSF, data mining researches on human emotion recognition (sadness, humour, etc) have been undergoing for decades, yet they have not yet shown any fruitful sight. Though we know that building a humanoid which mimics a human's life is currently theoretically infeasible, it is still a favorable fantasy or illusion to create such human-like AI boys or girls. i guess project Aiko is a pretty cute humanoid prototype, which combines current technologies in advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, electrical and material engineering. From a science and technology perspective, honestly i am a bit impressed about such vivid integration and application. "Though project Aiko looks pretty yet crappy to me, this crap is fat." I think in about 30 to 50 years we might achieve some breakthroughs in more advanced computer architecture than Von Neunmann model (quantum computing? bio-related computing? or something else), following machine recognition and understanding of human emotions and behaviors by training and testing thousands of terabytes of data, and corresponding some true prototypes of android capable of simulating actual human life.

 

Well, the problem is, is this a fantasy or just an illusion?

 

btw, i definitely dont like the way Mr. Le Trung treats Aiko though lol.
