7月13日 Activision Blizzard is gonna rockThe stock price of Activision Blizzard went up ~8% under the ticker ATVID in Nasdaq in the past two days upon the news of merger. I guess it is a good long-term play (3-5 years) since the company is a leading company and has solid fundamentals & growth potential.
For Blizzard Entertament alone, Their products are probably gonna own overwelmingly (well, based on my bullish speculation) in addition to its 10-million-customer WoW. SC2 shall be released around early 2009, possibly followed by an expansion pack one year later; Diablo3 could be released thereafter followed by one expansion as well, probably sometime in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Yet another MMORPG project, currently classified on Blizzard's website, is on its way. For Activision, its portfolio, including Guitar Hero and Call of Duty series, although less internationally popular, is winning as well. Besides, its newly announced "Wee" plan on Wii seems promising.
Damn i just love this company!
"This is the best videogame/media company in the world. There is such
loyalty. People get teary eyed when Blizzard announces new games, its a cult following. " "It's not just a cult. Once a cult reaches 1 million people, it's
considered a religion. " July 16th:
now ~20% up in a week, weeee (while dow/naz went like shxx, well, not today though)
Froggy TA: it just broke the current downtrend days ago and 33.7X resistance (now as a support); currently it's a solid uptrend and gonna test 37.XX resistance soon (probably gonna break it), probably before the coming 2-to-1 split; conclusion: pretty good for short term trade as well
July 18th ATVID tested the resistance yesterday and touched a new 52-week high. As for today, although generally tech sector suffers from Goog & Msft's quarter earning report, this ticker still demonstrates strength of its own trend. I think a minor downward correction for ATVID is probably ahead. However, i expect this baby to be doubled at most sometime next year due to its outstanding fundamentals. |
